Sumac is a wonderful aromatic spice which is incredibly popular in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cooking. It offers a delicious tangy and slightly citrusy, sweet flavour, which has been derived from the dried and crushed berries of the Rhus tree giving it, it’s beautiful deep red colouring.
